My Amazing Score!!

Somebody in town decided they were going to quit D&D and posted up an ad on craigslist. I checked it out, and they had quite a bit of DDM in there as well. They wanted $120 for the entirety of it (wish I could have gotten the rest, it was a lot of good stuff) but I just wanted the DDM (had all the books.) I called her, and asked how much she wanted, and she said $50. I didn't want to jump all over it, in fear she would raise the price, so I acted hesitant ("uhhhh....hhhmmmmm") and she dropped it to $40. She dropped it by, and I was expecting a bunch of decent commons to paint. I ended up scoring really heavy. Dragoneye black dragon. Deathknell Gold Dragon. 2 Fiendish Praying mantises (one I had never pulled, despite my ryld and 3 frenzied berserkers), a GoL Minotaur. An Elf Pyromancer. Ice Troll. Amongst the commons and uncommons from harbinger (one starter's worth), Dragoneye (one booster's worth), GoL (one booster's worth) and NOTHING after deathknell. Along with the tiles from the harbinger and aberrations starter. Good good stuff.

Tiles? People are looking for tiles? I've got truckloads of those...

Oh, sorry, this isn't about me. But that was a valuable find. Just the Dragons alone would have made it worthwhile!

for sure. I added the dragons to my trades, but I'm thinking about keeping the black, 3 medium black dragons (2 from the basic game, one of which was actually from this box) is really cool for me.

It wasn't a local deal (don't usually get those) but rather someone I random-assedly found on craigslist. Good score nonetheless, however.

Yeah, it's a site. It's kind of like Wanted ads for the internet, but I think that they review places, too.

you can get on www.craigslist.org/ and find your city. I've found quite a bit of D&D stuff on there, (there's a search function) so keep your eyes open!
